JUNO Makes His Toronto Debut at Harriet’s Rooftop This Thanksgiving Weekend
This Thanksgiving long weekend, a new name joins Toronto’s electronic music calendar.
On Sunday, October 11, HĒRA Night welcomes JUNO to Toronto for his debut, bringing the Hamburg-born artist to Harriet’s Rooftop at 1 Hotel Toronto for a daytime session spanning Afro House, melodic house and deeper electronic sounds.
It comes at an interesting point in JUNO’s career. His catalogue has surpassed 10 million Spotify streams, his music has found support from artists including Black Coffee, Keinemusik, BLOND:ISH, Diplo and WhoMadeWho, and 2026 has brought milestones including a Pete Tong mix for BBC Radio 1 and his first Tomorrowland appearance, according to his official artist biography.
Now, Toronto gets its turn.
From Hamburg to the Dance Floor
Born in Hamburg with Vietnamese roots, JUNO has developed a sound that is difficult to reduce to a single corner of house music.
There is Afro House in its rhythmic foundation, but also the emotional pull and atmosphere associated with melodic house. Tracks can feel restrained and hypnotic before opening into much bigger moments—a balance that has become central to his productions.

That relationship with Magnifik took another step forward in May 2026 when JUNO collaborated with Samm on the two-track “Heart Spin / Muralli” EP.

That was part of the thinking behind bringing JUNO to Harriet’s Rooftop rather than placing his Toronto debut inside a conventional late-night room.
The event starts at 3 p.m., giving the afternoon time to unfold through local support before JUNO takes over as the energy builds later in the day.
And because October 11 falls on Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend, there is no Monday-morning rush waiting on the other side.

Our programming has never been intended to sit inside a single genre or venue format. The warehouse series gave us room to explore melodic techno and techno in an industrial environment. Our rooftop programming opens the door to warmer sounds and a different relationship with the audience.
JUNO sits naturally between those worlds.
There is enough melody for the rooftop, enough rhythm for the dance floor and enough depth to take the music somewhere unexpected as the afternoon develops.
That is ultimately what interested us about bringing him to Toronto.
Not simply what JUNO has already achieved, but where his sound appears to be heading next.
